Mortal Kombat 1 May Hit Your PS5 SSD with a Fatality

Date:

With the official announcement of Mortal Kombat 1, things are no doubt starting to get real for fanatical fighting game fans as we inch closer to that 19th September launch on PS5. If that’s you, heads up, the next Mortal Kombat is a heavyweight, coming in at a muscular 100 GB, and that’s before any additional Kombat Packs are added.

Of course, that’s according to the game’s Steam page. It’s entirely possible we get a slimmer, streamlined release on console, sans the graphical options and textures not possible on PlayStation anyway. Considering the number of Kombat packs that came to Mortal Kombat 11, if you’re going all in on this, Mortal Kombat 1 is likely going to make much of your SSD its home.

Are you surprised by Mortal Kombat 1’s voluminous file size, or are such matters simply another irrelevant concern on the road to kompetitive glory? Let us know in the komments section below.
